Editor's Note: Since 1963, China and Kenya have maintained strong, supportive relations, enabling Kenya to build a vast network of public infrastructure while unlocking its economic potential. In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's Wang Guan sat down with Kenyan President William Ruto during his state visit to China from April 22 to 26. Ruto emphasized the "wholesomeness" of the relationship, which has been elevated to a "China-Kenya community with a shared future for the new era" during his visit. He also criticized U.S.-led tariff wars, advocating for multilateralism as essential for protecting global trade. "The globalization of trade is an existential imperative," Ruto remarked.
