Editor's Note: The New Development Bank (NDB) was established in 2014 by the BRICS nations to support infrastructure and sustainable development projects in emerging economies. Headquartered in Shanghai, the bank aims to expand its global partnerships and promote a multipolar financial system. In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's Zou Yun sat down with Dilma Rousseff, Brazil's former president, who was appointed president of the NDB in 2023 and whose term has just been extended for another five-year period, shortly before and after Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the bank's headquarters on April 29, to discuss how the NDB adheres to China's vision of a community with a shared future for mankind and President Xi's global initiatives for the benefit of the Global South.
